Our Program
Ambassadors of Compassion Canada offers a 12-week program for middle and high school students focused on emotional resiliency, character-building, and leadership development.
Each program includes:
– Kickoff event
– Weekly small group sessions
– Guided journals
– Medals, and certificates
– A community give-back project
– Red carpet celebration
– Optional parent engagement component
The program is customizable to fit the needs of each school or organization.
SEL & Indigenous Alignment
Ambassadors of Compassion Canada explicitly aligns with the British Columbia Ministry of Education’s Core Competencies, the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) framework, and the First Peoples Principles of Learning.
BC Curriculum Alignment
Personal Awareness and Responsibility: Goal setting, self-reflection, and self-regulation
Social Responsibility: Participation in service projects that promote empathy and civic engagement
Positive Personal and Cultural Identity: Journaling and discussion to explore identity, values, and belonging
Communication and Critical Thinking: Collaborative dialogue, problem-solving, and leadership practice
This detailed crosswalk tool helps BC Educators align AOCCS sessions with BC curriculum standards in Career Education, ADST, Physical & Health Education, and Social Studies.
