Founders

ERIC HANNAH
Founder, Chief Vision Officer, and Chief Creative Officer
Eric Hannah is the Founder and CEO of Ambassadors of Compassion, an evidence-based program that removes emotional obstacles preventing middle and high school students from reaching their full potential. Nearly 100,000 students have completed the program, which has been independently measured and proven to reduce anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidal ideation while fostering self-awareness, connection, and hope—equipping students to succeed academically and in life.
Eric grew up in Orange County, California, with a passion for filmmaking. After an injury ended his college football career at the University of Colorado, he pursued film and television, directing and producing award-winning projects including Extreme Days, Meet Me in Miami, and the Moment of Truth series. His creative ventures, such as Truth Soul Armor, were recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as among the “Top 50 Trends of the 90s.” His productions have reached global audiences and generated millions in aid, scholarships, and resources for underserved children and families.
The overwhelming needs he witnessed during international film premieres inspired Eric to found Ambassadors of Compassion, integrating his entertainment background with education to equip youth with emotional resiliency. Alongside his wife and producing partner, Jodi, he has continued to merge media, advocacy, and education—producing projects like the Ambassadors of Compassion TV show with Golden Globe winner Tyler James Williams and co-host Wilmer Valderrama.
Eric first met Candace Newton Chaput at the inaugural Lift Up Vancouver event in 2007, when she was producing a daily talk show. They formed an instant connection that led to a close friendship and ongoing collaboration. Eric and Jodi have remained steadfast supporters of Candace and her vision to launch Ambassadors of Compassion Canada Society, standing alongside her efforts to bring resiliency and hope to Canadian youth.
Eric Hannah is recognized not only as a filmmaker and innovator but as a leader devoted to caring for youth and their families—building emotional and mental resiliency in North America and around the world.

JODI HANNAH
Producer, Executive Director and Co-Founder
Originally from Coos Bay, Oregon, Jodi Hannah knew from an early age she wanted to pursue producing. By high school, she was already producing talent showcases across the U.S. with industry professionals, and at 17 she moved to Los Angeles to work in pre-production at Big Rock Pictures, funded by best-selling author Danielle Steele. At 19, she launched her own company, Blond Films, in Nashville, producing award-nominated music videos for MTV, VH1, BET, and other major outlets.
Jodi later returned to Southern California as President of Truth Soul Armor, a clothing and film company, where she expanded the brand and produced The Moment of Truth 2, which became the top-selling film in its genre. She also associate produced Extreme Days and Meet Me in Miami, a romantic comedy starring Carlos Ponce and Eduardo Verástegui.
Her passion for combining media with philanthropy emerged during the Meet Me in Miami: Giving Hope Tour, where she produced movie premiere events across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada that generated over $120 million in gift-in-kind donations for at-risk families. This experience inspired Jodi to co-develop Ambassadors of Compassion, equipping nearly 100,000 students worldwide with emotional resiliency and mental wellness skills.
Jodi has produced televised and live international Ambassadors of Compassion events, including the TV show starring Golden Globe winner Tyler James Williams and co-host Wilmer Valderrama. With her husband and producing partner, Eric Hannah, she also produced the prestigious Lombardi Honors college football award show, televised on CBS Sports and ESPN.
Jodi first met Candace Newton Chaput at the inaugural Lift Up Vancouver event in 2007, where Candace was producing a daily talk show. That encounter began a close friendship and lasting collaboration. Jodi has since been a steadfast supporter of Candace’s efforts to launch Ambassadors of Compassion Canada Society, standing alongside her vision to bring hope, resiliency, and strength to youth and families across Canada.
Jodi Hannah continues to merge media and education to transform lives, serving as a producer with a philanthropic heart and as Executive Director and Co-Founder of Ambassadors of Compassion.

TOM BROOKS
DIRECTOR OF SPONSORSHI9PS AND CFO
Tom Brooks is a relationship-driven leader and counsellor who brings decades of experience, empathy, and practical wisdom to helping people grow and empowering the next generation. Born in Peterborough, Ontario, Tom moved across the country to British Columbia with his family at the age of six. As the youngest of five, he learned early what it meant to take direction from everyone around him — a childhood that shaped his natural listening skills, empathy, and ability to connect with people of all personalities.
At 23, Tom became the youngest hire for a national manufacturing company, launching what would become a highly successful 20-year career in sales and marketing. He eventually rose to the role of North American National Heavy Duty Sales Manager, leading a team of 15 and overseeing more than $30 million in annual sales.
While he excelled in leadership, growth, and team development, what Tom enjoyed most was not selling parts — it was building relationships. He wasn’t just a salesperson or a marketing manager; he became someone his customers trusted.
But even with his success, something was missing. At 41, Tom made a major life change: he left the industry and returned to school to finish his counselling degree. A heart for people had always been at the core of who he was. Even as a child and teenager, people often told him, “I feel like I can tell you anything with no judgment,” or “It feels like I’ve known you my whole life.”
Tom carried that same presence into his new career. He launched Solutions to Life Counselling, which grew into a practice of six counsellors working under one banner. Over the past two decades, Tom has supported tens of thousands of individuals and couples, helped hundreds of student counsellors, and facilitated hundreds of workshops for couples, organizations, and community groups. He is an author, lecturer, and deeply compassionate person who leads with empathy and understanding for the world people are trying to navigate.
Most recently, Tom streamlined his organization and co-founded Brooks & Birch Ventures Inc., focusing his work on teens and young adults. After watching his own children and their peers move through high school and into adulthood without the relational and life skills they needed; he felt a strong pull to support the next generation in a more intentional way.
When Tom was introduced to Ambassadors of Compassion Canada, it resonated immediately. The mission aligned with everything he had witnessed firsthand — the growing emotional pressures youth face, the gaps in life-skills education, and the need for supportive mentorship. Today, he brings his leadership, experience, and heart for people to AOCCS, helping youth across Canada build resilience, confidence, and healthier relationships.

ELIZABETH CAMPBELL
CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Elizabeth Campbell is an entrepreneur and counsellor shaped by lived experience, dedicated to rebuilding lives and empowering the next generation. She was born in Surrey BC and moved frequently between the lower mainland and Okanagan throughout her early life and into her twenties. These years were marked by instability and hardship, including a period of homelessness while pregnant and navigating a relationship impacted by addiction and volatility. She eventually entered a safe house with her young children — a turning point that allowed her to rebuild her life with the support of people who came alongside her. She reflects on this chapter with compassion and without blame, choosing to highlight perseverance, courage, forgiveness, and the power of community support. These experiences deeply inform her work and fuel her commitment to helping others rise above adversity and reclaim their future.
From those difficult years, Elizabeth moved forward with determination — pursuing education and training in accounting, administration, marketing, real estate, and interior design. These skills helped her rebuild her life and laid the foundation for a strong entrepreneurial career. Over the next three decades, she owned, operated, and sold multiple successful businesses across several industries, developing a deep understanding of people, systems, growth, and change. Her most successful venture was a skin & laser clinic that she built from the ground up, leading staff, designing marketing materials, coordinating events and trade shows, and ultimately selling the business at its peak. Elizabeth also spent 15 years managing a medical clinic, overseeing operations, staff support, and patient care coordination — experiences that strengthened her leadership skills and gave her firsthand insight into the emotional and mental-health pressures individuals and families often face.
After selling her most recent business, Elizabeth realized it was time to return to the calling she had felt since she was a teenager: becoming a counsellor. With decades of lived experience, professional insight, and entrepreneurial leadership behind her, she went back to school to pursue the work she had always been drawn to — supporting people through challenge, change, and emotional growth. She is a currently a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor based in Vernon, British Columbia, and the co-founder of Brooks & Birch Ventures Inc. She specializes in working with youth, young adults, and individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and major life transitions. Her passion lies in helping young people become “unstuck”—supporting them as they build resilience, self-worth, and a renewed sense of possibility.
Ambassadors of Compassion Canada’s program focus on resilience, emotional awareness, and real-life tools reflected everything Elizabeth wished she had access to growing up — and everything she now strives to give the next generation. She believes every young person deserves to know their worth is not defined by their past, and that they have the strength to build a future they’re proud of.
